Miraculously Healed of Kidney Problem

In this post, a man of God that I highly respect, the person of Pastor Sayo has graciously agreed to share the testimony of how God miraculously healed his brother of a kidney problem. But first, here is a little about this great man of God in his own words.

Testimony of Faith and Miraculous Healing

This testimony of faith and healing is about how my immediate younger brother got miraculously healed of kidney problem.

It all started in the year 2006, when my younger brother was sick. We took it for granted that it was malaria since malaria is endemic in the country.

And so, we commenced malaria treatment for him and gave him malaria medications but he wasn’t getting better. Instead, he was getting worse, losing weight, and getting weaker.

This prompted us to take him to the hospital for further analysis and there, he was diagnosed with kidney problem.

Then it dawned on me that we were going into a critical period.

Here he was, a young man without a job having to take expensive prescription drugs just to stay alive.

He started taking his medications, but I knew the near permanent solution is kidney transplant.

But, we didn’t have the funds for such major medical operation, neither did we have hopes of being able to raise the money.

Therefore, we kept praying and believing that God will somehow intervene, and He sure did!

My Life as a Church Worker in the Redeemed Christian Church of God

Before the whole health crisis started, I was a worker in the Redeemed Christian Church of God. In addition, I regularly officiated as an usher at National programs and still do.
Few months into the crisis, it was time for our annual Holy Ghost Congress.
I knew from experience that God heals thousands during this program so I invited him to come because he hardly attended church then. 
Somehow, he agreed to go with me, so we went together.

How God Spoke a Word of Healing

Thank God for His word and promises because they are yea and amen. (2 Corinthians 1:20)

He sent out his word and healed them;  He rescued them from the grave. Psalms 107:20 (NIV)

God spoke a word of Healing through His servant and it healed my brother. Below is how it happened.

At the time, we had just moved to the new Arena, now referred to as old auditorium.

I insisted that he should sit where I am going to officiate so I can keep an eye on him and be sure he is not sleeping.

Few minutes after the General Overseer (Pastor E. A. Adeboye) started ministering, he said my Daddy is giving new kidneys to those in need of it now.

On hearing that I ran to where he was seated, to be sure he caught up with the word of knowledge. And he smiled and said yes, he heard him and received it already. The service ended and we went home.

Outstanding Faith Backed by Action

Recall that the Bible says “faith without works is dead”?

In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. James 2:17 (NIV)

Well my brother demonstrated great faith when we got home!

The Saturday after the congress, we were at home, and it dawned on me that he had not taken his medications.

Therefore, I called him to remind him to take his medications. But to my utter surprise, he said he had thrown them into the trash can.

That he won’t be needing them again, because God healed him yesterday at the camp.

Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful. Hebrews 10:23 (NIV)

I was caught off balance, wondering how he could do such a thing. Especially knowing how hard it cost me to raise the money to buy the drugs.

Furthermore, his eyes were still red, and there was no immediate evidence of healing.

I carefully managed my anger and concealed my doubt.

Because, I knew he had just taken a bold step of faith and must be encouraged, even if nothing had happened.

As the days passed, my brother’s eyes became clearer and he gradually regained his strength. In less than two weeks, he was fully restored to his optimum performance.

It has been several years now and there has been no trace of the kidney problem again.

That was how God miraculously healed my brother of kidney problem. His miraculous healing has been an inspiration to me ever since.

May the name of our God be praised forever more. Hallelujah!
