Here are some new year’s prayers for favour and blessing. As we enter into the new year, it’s a great idea to take time to prayerfully commit the year ahead into God’s able hands. And to pray and let go of the frustrations and disappointment of the past year. We pray for hope and a new beginning in the new year and for God’s blessings upon us and all that belongs to us.

Prayer of Thanksgiving for the New Year

Father, we thank you for making us see a new year, there were many that desired to see this new year but they were unable to. It is not that we are better than them or that we are more righteous than them, it’s just because of your mercy.

Thank you, Lord for your many mercies because they encompass us like a shield and protect us from the fiery darts of the wicked. We thank you for the many battles seen and unseen that you fought on our behalf last year. Thank you for not allowing the enemy to have the last laugh over our lives and that of our loved ones. We bless you because you are holy, and righteous, and faithful, and your eyes are ever upon us. Blessed be your holy name in the name of Jesus.

Prayer to Be in the Center of God’s Will in the New Year

Dear Lord, I pray that in this new year, you will cause me to be in the center of your will for my life. Please do not let me stray from your presence, but rather, help me to keep my eyes focused on you. Let every step I take and every decision I make be in line with your will for my life. I pray I will be in the center of your will maritally, spiritually, in my career or business, and in everything I lay my hands on.

Prayer for Spiritual Growth in the New Year

I pray for spiritual growth in this new year, that my spiritual life will not be stagnant, and that I will be a good ambassador of Christ. Lord, please show me the steps I need to take to grow spiritually, open my eyes to see those things that I need to let go of. And give me the grace to embrace what must be done for me to grow up unto you in all things. 

As I take steps to pursue faith and holiness with a good conscience, oh Lord please back me up in Jesus name.

Please strengthen me spiritually in this new year and help me overcome the challenges that may come my way. Lord, I know you did not promise us a life without troubles but you did promise that rejoicing will be ours because you have overcome the world.

My father my God, in this new year, please strengthen me with power through your spirit in my inner man. Make me rooted and grounded in your love and fill me with all your fullness in the mighty name of Jesus. Give me the strength to do valiantly for you and your kingdom here on earth.

New Year’s Prayer to Know God on a Deeper Level

Oh, that I may know you on a deeper level in this new year Lord! Please reveal yourself to me like never before oh God, just as you revealed yourself to Moses. Psalm 103:7

Lord, I want to know your ways, not just your acts, cause me to know more about the power of Christ’s resurrection. That I will be rooted and grounded in your love may be able to comprehend the length, depth, breadth, and height of your love. And that I will know the love of Christ that passes knowledge in Jesus name.

New Year’s Prayer for Divine Direction

Father Lord, I’m human and therefore cannot see beyond my nose per time but you are the ancient of days. You know the end of a thing from its beginning thereof, and you know what will work and what will fail. My father my God, I pray for divine direction in this new year 2021, that you will direct my paths. And instruct me in the way that I should go in everything I do.

Oh Lord I pray for your peace that passes all understanding to keep my heart and soul in this new year. Let there be peace in my going out and my coming in, and let your peace be upon my household. Father, I pray that your peace will surround this nation and that you will keep our leaders from making decisions that will jeopardize our peace and stability. And I pray for all people, households and nations lacking peace that you will visit them supernaturally and cause your peace to reign in their midst in Jesus name.

My Father, my God, safety is of you, please keep us safe and secure from all alarms in Jesus name.

Prayer Against Crisis in This New Year

I will not eat the bread of adversity in the year ahead in Jesus name, and I will not drink the water of affliction. Crisis will not be my portion in Jesus name, a thousand may fall at my side and ten thousand by my right hand but it shall not come near me. Father, deliver me from every form of crisis in the year ahead, I will not run helter-skelter over my life and my loved ones.

When men say casting down, I shall arise and say there is a lifting up in the mighty name Jesus.

Because the Lord is my glory and the lifter up of my head in the mighty name of Jesus.

Every crisis or evil planned by the enemy for me in the year ahead, I command them to be averted now in the name of Jesus. I declare that the devil has failed over me and my household in this new year in Jesus name.

New Year’s Prayer for Favour

Father Lord, please be gracious unto me this year and show me your favour in all ramifications. Let your favour encompass me like a shield, and show the world that I am the apple of your eyes.

May the favour of the Lord go before me all the days of this year and may the God of favour cause His face to shine on me.

I pray that in this year, the lines will fall unto me in pleasant places and I will possess my possessions. Psalm 16:6

Lord you have promised that before I call, you will answer and while I’m yet speaking, you will hear. Please hasten your word to perform it in this new year 2024 in Jesus name.

Let me not lack anything good, and I pray that if I need a man, ten men will answer me in Jesus name. Because I’m a son/daughter of the King of kings and he cares so much for me.

I decree by the mercies of the Most High God that my dwelling place is blessed this year. My dwelling place shall be blessed with the choicest gifts of heaven above and the earth beneath. The land shall yield its increase to me and the hidden treasures of the earth shall be mine. I shall be satisfied with favour and my youth will be renewed like the eagles. New Year’s Prayer for Beauty in Place of Ashes

Dear Lord, you have promised in the book of Isaiah 61:3;

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”

Please put an end to sorrow, heaviness and mourning in my life. Give me joy unspeakable full of glory, a garment of praise in place of the spirit of heaviness and beauty for ashes. In every place I have been called deserted let me be celebrated and visited by the hosts of heaven.

I pray for beauty for ashes for everyone going through aflliction, trial, pain, sorrow even in places we cannot see that you will pour your oil of gladness upon them and heal them of every wound and pain. Give beauty for ashes Lord in Jesus name. Amen.
