Encouragement and Hope During COVID-19

Encouragement and Hope During COVID-19

We all need continuous encouragement and hope during COVID-19 because many of us have never experienced a pandemic of this magnitude before.

And listening to the news is depressing these days but, I pray that the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead will give new life to anyone sick in Jesus’ name.

Additionally, it is my prayer that God will console all those who mourn in zion and give them beauty for ashes. (Isaiah 61:3)

Trusting God Through Our Fears

Indeed lots of things have happened since the year began. When we started this year, most of us had no idea what laid ahead of us.

All we knew was that we serve a living God who is able to give us all the good things of life. And that’s what we prayed for. Additionally, we have confidence that He will never leave us nor forsake us.

On this note, we started the year in high spirits trusting God that this will be the best year yet.

But a lot has happened between January and now, not because God is unfaithful but because His ways are not our ways.

8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.

9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thoughts than your thoughts. Isa 55:8 – 9 (NIV)

God’s ways are past finding out and we may not fully understand why He has allowed this pandemic.

But we know that He has our back because He is a dependable God.

God’s Promise Through Our Fears – COVID-19

And this is His promise;

24 Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear. Isaiah 65:24 (NIV)

God has our back in every situation and circumstance and none of what is happening caught Him by surprise.

And God is able to make this situation turn around for our good and He will because His children are praying worldwide.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

The above Bible passage is God’s promise to us even in the midst of this pandemic crisis. God still has a better plan for us and He will bring it to pass. Amen.

A Word of Encouragement in Time of Fear – COVID-19

Today I bring you a word of encouragement and hope despite all that has happened so far, God will prosper you and yours and keep you safe from calamity.

Irrespective of what lies ahead, God will deliver you and I.

The God who delivered the three Hebrew boys from the fiery furnace will deliver us from COVID-19 furnace in Jesus’ name.

Don’t forget that God was on standby when the fiery furnace was being heated seven times hotter yet He seemed silent and unconcerned.

19 Then Nebuchadnezzar was furious with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and his attitude toward them changed. He ordered the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual 20 and commanded some of the strongest soldiers in his army to tie up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego and throw them into the blazing furnace. 21 So these men, wearing their robes, trousers, turbans and other clothes, were bound and thrown into the blazing furnace. Daniel 3:19 – 21 (NIV)

Yet, in the nick of time, God showed up and became the fourth man in that fiery furnace.

As COVID-19 furnace burns hotter and the flames spread wider, rest assured that there is a fourth man with you and me.

And that fourth man is Yahweh, He is our very present help in trouble.

God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1 (NIV)

He is our helper and our shield.

At this crucial time, let’s continue to hope in God and trust Him to deliver us and the nations from COVID-19.

Let’s also be a beacon of hope in our immediate environment and community at large by showing love to others.

A Time to be Right With God

If ever there was a time to be right with God, this is it.

This is the time for us all to go and seek the face of the Lord and prepare as a bride ready to meet her bridegroom.

Some people have died, some have lost a loved one or known someone who died as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

That we are still alive is by the mercies of God.

We commiserate with all those who have lost a loved one and pray that God will comfort them at this time.

For the rest of us who are still alive let’s make sure are ways are straight before God.

If you need someone to pray with you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.

God bless you as you do so in Jesus’ name. Amen.
